Singers Ruby and Mai Seleem were in rage to find out that singer Alaa Salahedeen is back in Cairo and that he dedicated his clip Esmaoony, directed by Gameel Gameel Al Moghazy, to some music channels to broadcast during the coming period.

Alaa Salahedeen asserted that Ruby and Mai Seleem were just starting their careers when the clip was being shot seven years ago. What is funny about the clip is the fact that both Ruby and Seleem were competing at that time to attract people's attention. Salahedeen mentioned that Ruby felt so jealous then that the director had picked Mai Seleem to be the lead-model in the clip. He maintained that it was that situation that made her make up her mind regarding starting her singing career.

Ruby then headed to  musician Ahmad El-Gebaly's office to start her journey through his band. She was afterwards discovered by director Yussef Shaheen, who gave her the chance to star Sokoot Hansawr with Lateefa, then she settled with the very man who made her a star: Sherief Sabry.
However, and despite their former competition, both Ruby and Mai Seleem are trying to stop broadcasting the song in any possible way. This comes of course after both have become super stars!

It is worth mentioning that Alaa Salahedeen was considered a success back in the 90's. He issued more than a hit-album and participated in many major musical concerts like Layaly El Television and Adwaa El-Madeena. He was first introduced by Sameer Sabry, then he took off to singing in Europe and America, with the request of Arabs living there. Salahedeen was back in Egypt recently to issue his new album Youmein, with Outline Company (Reda Mahmoud). The first issue of the album ran out, then Salahedeen was surprised to find many satellite channels asking for his clip Esmaoony, which was originally sung in the 70's by Warda, lyrics by Sayed Morsy and composition by Baleegh Hamdy. Salahedeen then re-distributed the musical composition, and shot the video clip with director Gameel Gameel El-Moghazy, acquiring Warda's praise of both the song and his voice
